Have you done neck stretches lately? Well, I think I know what the answer is going to be. In that case, I have a few questions to as you! Does your neck feel stiff after prolonged sitting at work? Or is it on getting out of bed in the mornings? Or perhaps it is after you have gone for a long drive? As they say, prevention is better than cure. I am sure you have heard this before but stretches are very important to maintain flexibility in the muscles of the neck. Especially so if the neck has to be in one position for a long time like sitting or withstanding high pressure like doing a high intensity exercise. Repetitive activities like lifting or sustained activities like a long drive can strain the muscles around the neck. Stretching these muscles regularly will ensure that tension does not build up in these muscles.
