Medication doesn’t solve your headache, it simply offers a short term solution to dull the pain.
Headaches occur due to a variety of reasons. Some of which are stress, poor posture and accidents. Even environmental factors such as strong odours and pollution cause it. Dietary irregularities is also one of the reasons.
One of the most overlooked causes of migraine and tension headache is due to nerve irritation in the upper neck. This can be caused by poorly functioning spinal joints. Since the nerves supply areas of the scalp and face, irritation to these nerves leads to a headache.

The types can be categorized in various ways. One method is as follows:
- ‘Normal’ headaches such as due to goggle, ice-cream , hangover, marijuana, fasting, exercise, cough and mountain sickness.
- Recurring ones include tension-type, migraine and cluster headache.
- ‘Nerve’ headaches ie produced by direct irritation or compression of the nerves supplying the head, face, or neck
- Head injury
- Serious causes such: brain hemorrhage, tumour , high blood pressure etc.
